SharePoint Migration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Migration Engineer for a leading Management Consulting Company, who is willing to relocate to Japan. You will utilize your business process knowledge and SAP experience to provide from the inception of the business process, analysis through development, testing, and delivery of solutions to the business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform SharePoint migrations (using tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, PowerShell, Mover, etc.) content from SharePoint on-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., from Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Office 365) to Office 365 SharePoint Online and OneDrive
• Troubleshoot migration issues related to source and Office 365 connectivity, APIs, security, DLP policies, and throttling
• Analyse and document migration results
• Collaborate with the team to change and improve migration processes
• Communicate with content owners on migration status and issues. Work with content owners to resolve issues
• Document processes and common errors and resolutions
• Write workflows (Power Automate) to automate internal team processes
• Re-write and re-engineer custom legacy applications to PowerApps solutions
• Communicate effectively with employees, consultants, and business partners of differing levels of technical expertise

Skills Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a SharePoint engineer, working with large enterprise SharePoint environments (Online and on-premises)
• Be a subject matter expert on front-end SharePoint and OneDrive for Business features (site creation, document libraries, lists, versioning, security, workflows)
• Experience with migration tools like ShareGate, AvePoint, Mover, etc.
• Experience managing other cloud storage platforms (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive)
• Experience developing and troubleshooting Nintex Workflows and Microsoft Power Automate flows
• Solid understanding of enterprise corporate environment extending beyond the application platform to network, OS, browsers, encryption, authentication, etc.
• Understand Teams and SharePoint integrations
• Understand Office 365 Groups
• Solid understanding of SharePoint development principles and best practices
• Should have a working knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and SharePoint Online, SharePoint Add-in Model (Provider and SharePoint hosted add-ins)
• Ability to develop PowerShell scripts for automation.
